🎢 1 LinkedIn Growth Tip

The power of LinkedIn newsletter

On the 4th of August, I published the first edition of my LinkedIn newsletter - "LinkedIn and Life."

It didn't happen suddenly. It was because of Shanee Moret.

Amongst all the LinkedIn growth tactics she shares, what she said about the LinkedIn newsletter stood out to me (like seriously)!

And let me tell you, not many people know its power.

On the 4th of August, I gained 45 subscribers.

As of today, I've 180 LinkedIn newsletter subscribers with 917 people following me on LinkedIn.

That's almost a 20% sign-up rate (which is still not that bad).

Alongside,

  • I've appeared 2,299 times on people's feed,
  • 65 of them engaged with my article,
  • 281 of them read my article.

And the best part? My newsletter is just almost 2 months old.

Have I convinced you enough? If not, I've more crispy stuff for you.

1. Your newsletters are sent to subscribers' inboxes as email notifications.
↳ Do you see the opportunity here? Your subscribers allowed you to visit their inboxes! This shows they want to learn more apart from what you share on LinkedIn.

2. Your first edition will be sent to all your connections and followers.
↳ This is a massive opportunity for you to appear in front of your audience.

3. Every new connection/follower of yours will get the chance to join your newsletter.
↳ This way, you won't miss anyone from not seeing your newsletter. The awareness is there.

Now let's put that into practice!

Actionable tip

1. Define your newsletter's goal.

Ask yourself two questions:

Question 1 - What do you want to educate?
↳ Example: "I want to teach women to lose weight."

Question 2 - What do you want your audience to feel and gain out of this?
↳ Example: "I want the women who read my newsletter, to be seen and heard with what I share. I want to make them feel like I'm part of their journey, and that they can lose weight if they follow my strategies."

Simple?

2. Define who is your newsletter for.
Most people put generic names like, "Business Insights" or "Life Lessons."

However, they miss out on something huge - the target audience.

You need to mention who is your newsletter for.

If you just mention, "Business Insights" or "Life Lessons" your audience won't know if it's for them.

Two seconds later, they'll click "Ignore." We don't want that.

Instead, you can add two to three more words:

  • "Business Insights for Tech Founders"
  • "Life Lessons for YouTubers."

Now, it's way more targeted.

3. Publish your first edition

This doesn't have to be hard. Your first edition must be an introduction to what your newsletter is about.

(I know mine is not, because I learned this trick late. But you don't have to do that because I'm telling you what works.)

Let's use the "Life Lessons for YouTubers" newsletter idea (because I love personal growth).

Here's what a simple introductory first edition looks like:

"Hey, creators, welcome to the first edition of Life Lessons for YouTubers! I’m thrilled to have you here.

As a YouTuber, you know content creation isn't just about filming and editing—it’s about navigating the ups and downs of the journey.

This newsletter is designed to share practical life lessons that’ll help you stay grounded, grow your channel, and maintain balance in your personal and professional life.

Each edition will dive into actionable tips, mindset shifts, and lessons learned from other successful creators—so you can keep levelling up both your content and your life.

Let’s embark on this journey together!

Cheers,
(Your name)"

You can always be creative with your newsletter, that matches your personality.

Remember, the organic reach LinkedIn gives is a gift for all of us.

But the question is, how well are you utilising it?

✏️ 1 LinkedIn Writing Tip

QUEST copywriting framework

Recently, we spoke about the PASTOR writing framework used by Justin Welsh.

(you can read it here).

Today, I'm going to show you another awesome copywriting framework - QUEST, that works like magic.

Let's see what it does!

Actionable tip

Q = Question: Ask an intriguing question.
↳ "Have you ever noticed how your mindset shifts after spending time with certain people?"

U = Uniqueness: Show what's unique about you.
↳ "Success isn’t just about your skills—it’s about the environment you create for yourself. Your network directly influences your mindset, actions, and growth."

E = Example: Give an example to explain your idea.
↳ "Imagine you’re constantly hanging out with people who complain, avoid challenges, and settle for “good enough.” Eventually, you'll become one. The vice versa is also true."

S = Solution: Share your solution.
↳ "So surround yourself with those who push you to level up—because who you spend time with will impact how far you go."

T = Testimony: Tell who has done this before.
↳ "Successful entrepreneurs like Jim Rohn often say, 'You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with.' That's what I'm going to teach you now. Are you ready?”

I know there are countless copywriting frameworks you can use.

There's no need to be overwhelmed about it.

Just use QUEST this week and see how it's working for you and your audience!

(I think I'm going to try this framework for my content next week ;)

đź‘€ Life Tip

Special fitness routine

Okay, I know what you're thinking:

"I already have no time and she's asking me to work out?"

Well, yes I am. But not the way you expect.

We all know the story.

  • Endless meetings
  • Back-to-back emails
  • Daily decisions

And so much more that leaves you with little time to focus on your health.

But there's a simple way to stay active, even with a packed schedule.

I've used this (and I just did mine a few minutes ago).

See, you don’t need an hour at the gym—just 10 minutes a day can make a difference.

Here’s how to fit that 10-minute fitness routine into your life:

Actionable tip

Step 1: Pick your most active time.

It can be morning once you're up, midday when you're taking a break or in the evening when everything is cooled down.

The idea is not to choose the best time for a workout. It's to choose a time that works for you and your life schedule.

Step 2: Choose 3 simple workouts.

Your first workout can be 20 jumping jacks. This will get your heartbeat up and running.

Your second workout can be 10 pushups. This will target your upper body.

Your third workout can be 10 squats. This will target your lower body.

The idea here is not to prepare you for a weightlifting competition. It's to get you up, and moving. Most importantly give your heart some work.

Caution: If you have physical disturbance, please consult a doctor beforehand.

Step 3: Continue this routine for the next 30 days.

This is the challenge I have for you. Along the way, you can re-iterate.

Morning time is not working? Change to night.

Can't do pushups? Try knee pushups.

The body is hurting too much? Take two days rest and come back again.

The point is to make this workout a routine as a lifestyle, not a burden.

Remember, without a healthy body, you can't live healthily. Take care of your body now, and it will take care of you later.
