π’ 1 LinkedIn Growth Tip
Content idea via comment
If you struggle to find new content ideas, I've got a hack for you.
You may have known this:
- Ask ChatGPT to generate ideas
- Look at other LinkedIn posts for ideas
- Watch YouTube and podcasts to come up with ideas
But, have you thought of getting content ideas from commenting?
Yes, I personally did this and it's awesome!
For example, I was busy engaging with other creators' posts.
Then, I saw myself typing about things that I could talk about.
And guess what?
I just found a new content idea for my upcoming posts!
Here's an example of my comment on an awesome creator's post - Samreen Rauf, that can potentially be my LinkedIn post:
Actionable tip
The next time you're looking for content ideas, do this:
- Step 1: Choose a post from your favourite creator.
- Step 2: Comment for the author, and for the audience.
- Step 3: Do this for other posts until you get a new content idea.
Remember: When you do this, you kill two birds with one stone.
(Engagement + Content Idea)
Because you just did some engagement, and you got a new content idea in return!

PS statement
If you're wondering what is a "PS" statement, it is called "Postscript."
A PS statement is where you add a line at the end of your message that's not included in the main contents.
Now you may be thinking:
"Why must I add a PS statement at the end of my posts?"
Because it invites the audience to have a conversation.
When your audience feels invited, here's what will happen:
- They may DM you.
- They may chat in the comments.
- They may become your customer.
- They might be interested to learn about you.
And the opportunities are endless!
Actionable tip
Here are a few things you can share in your PS statement.
- You can ask a question related to your post.
β"P.S. Which is your favourite point?"
- You can ask a question outside your post.
β"P.S. What did you have for breakfast today?"
- You can redirect them to your newsletter/product.
β"P.S. Check out my newsletter for deeper insights. Here's the link: _____."
Here's an example of my PS statement where I make my audience think if they're paying attention to their hooks.:
Remember: Make sure to keep your PS statement simple.
A "Yes/No" question is recommended.
Try not to make your audience think too much. If you do, they'll move on to the next post.
π Life Tip
Failure
You'll only fail if you stop. Think about it.
Let's say you have tried multiple business ideas, but none of them worked.
And you get tired because of it.
Eventually, you quit trying again.
Little did you know that:
- Failures help you grow.
- Failures help you learn.
- Failures show you the right direction.
- Failures show you what won't work for you.
- Failures show where your real interest lies.
- Failures show that not everything will go as planned.
In fact, failures are your best teachers.
If you stop trying to explore, then you're heading towards the wrong direction.
Actionable tip
If you've tried a lot and nothing seems to work, do this:
- Take a month's break.
- Re-discover yourself.
- Speak to someone.
This is a crucial step in re-discovering yourself.
After you're back from a break, do this:
- Try an idea that sparked your interest.
- Ask people who have done it.
- Try it yourself and reiterate.
If things still don't seem to work out, try again.
See, it took me around 6 years to discover my passion for writing on LinkedIn.
Things will take time.
Remember: Every human has lots to discover. Don't let your potential go to waste.
